& A List of Other Quality Machines I Would Consider
Heads up!!
The hyperlinked words are Amazon affiliate links. That means, if you choose to buy the item directly from the link I have listed, I may get a percentage of the sale. This comes at no extra cost for you.
I want to help share information about the hobby I love so don't feel like you have to use my links.
I'm just trying to grow the sewing community & my fabric fund... <3
Okay, fine. Your sewing machine is working fine and there is no reason why you should list it on Facebook Market immediately and buy a new sewing machine. I get it.
BUT
IF YOU'RE IN THE MARKET KEEP READING!!!
I know how hard it is to be new in the sewing world and you first have to learn how to operate a machine THEN learn how to create something with it. I thought I was happy enough with my machine I bought on Amazon Warehouse....but then I was gifted the best sewing (and embroidery) machine from my husband for my birthday. And I'm so mad I ever bought the other machine in the first place. I ended up just donating it when we moved.
I have a Brother SE700 and it catches all my newbie errors so I spend less time fixing my mistakes. I'll hit you with the quick list of why I think it's a great machine:
Needle Speed Control
Wi-Fi & USB inputs for file transfer
Auto Needle Cutter
Red/Green light for Presser Foot Indication
Notifies you when the bobbin thread is low
Affordable entry level embroidery machine
Over 103 Built-in stitches
Big Accessory Bundle

Check out this Youtube video I found. It's not the most exciting video but I'm not a total expert on the machine so this is a bit better of a technical walk-through of the machine. Maybe I'll get into making videos but I'm keeping things simple while I get this blog started.
I found a similar model from Singer that didn't have great reviews on Amazon (not all telling but still) and it's a lot more expensive. Singer SE9180 $800 All other embroidery machines jump up to prices with commas. ($1,000++). But depending on your goals, maybe you need a larger embroidery machine to open up your Etsy shop or whatever! Do some research on the machine that will fit your needs - my favorite source is YouTube.

OKAY if you don't want to drop $500 on the best sewing machine ever.... Here is a quick list of great machines that are a lower price point, work well, and can get you sewing ASAP.
These are the ones I would buy - all these have 4+ rating on Amazon & a ton of reviews.

OVERALL
Things I would look for when choosing a machine:
What type of projects do you plan on doing?
How much variety do you want to come with the machine?
Like preset stitches or accessories included.
Does it have multiple capabilites and do you want them?
Foot pedal speed options or is it based on pressure?
Size of machine if thats a limiting factor
Is it in your price range?
MORE TO COME!! If you noticed, I barely touched on the world of machine embroidery. I'll have a post introducing products to get started and more pictures of my awesome machine!!!
Your biggest fan,
